Research

I am a student of Professor Robert McEliece, in the Communications Group. My research is on low-complexity decoders for LDPC codes . Other group members, notoriously Ravi Palanki are finding very interesting things out about a class of inference algorithms called Generalized Belief Propagation. Cedric Florens does routing protocols for wireless networks, and new students Jon Harel and Mostafa El-Khamy are working on the new Guruswami-Sudan list decoding algorithm for Reed-Solomon Codes.
